Christ Alone

Sometimes He doesn’t audibly speak.

Sometimes you cannot feel Him move, His heartbeat inside you.

Sometimes life is too busy for you to be still enough to hear His whispers.

What are the obstacles in yoru life that keep you from being still, keep you from hearing Him?

But, take a moment, take a breath, and read these simple song lyrics. They will bless your heart and release His life, His love, and His power into you today.

There are a few songs that I hear that I deem “can’t keep my hands on the steering wheel because I am praising Jesus” songs, and this is one of them. Absolutely in love with Kristian Stanfill’s newest version.

And by the way, I totally will use that excuse if ever pulled over by a friendly Police Officer.

Sometimes, you just can’t help it.

They should know that.

In Christ Alone Lyrics:

“In Christ alone my hope is found,
He is my light, my strength, my song;
this Cornerstone, this solid Ground,
firm through the fiercest drought and storm.
What heights of love, what depths of peace,
when fears are stilled, when strivings cease!
My Comforter, my All in All,
here in the love of Christ I stand.

There in the ground His body lay
Light of the world by darkness slain:
Then bursting forth in glorious Day
Up from the grave he rose again!
And as He stands in victory
Sin’s curse has lost its grip on me,
For I am His and He is mine –
Bought with the precious blood of Christ.

No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life’s first cry to final breath.
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I’ll stand.”

Christ Alone.

Cornerstone.

Weak made strong, in the Savior’s love.

Through the storm, He is lord!

Lord of all!

Happy Easter!

“My chains are gone,

I’ve been set free.

My God, my Savior

has ransomed me.

And like a flood,

His mercy rains.

Unending love.

Amazing Grace!”

Lyrics straight from Chris Tomlin’s version of “Amazing Grace” speak to my heart and yours this morning. It truly is amazing amazing grace because of what He did on Calvary so many years and decades ago.

I am so grateful that He did. That He endured. That He was faithful even unto death; a terrible, painful death.

I am so grateful that He chose me, sought me out, saved me, and calls me “Daughter.” What a sweet sound in your ear.

Hear Him speak unto you today.

He has risen indeed! I serve a living Savior!

He is not here, but He will return again! Amen!

So, from my family to yours, have a very Happy Easter!

xoxo
