Almost any conversation you have with someone about faith and committed belief amongst life’s challenges, one word or topic will undoubtedly surface.
For a simple 5 letter word, it’s hard isn’t it?
Funny how that little word creeps its way into so many conversations.
Trust Him in the big things. My life. My job. My family. My friends. My health. My heart. My security.
Trust Him in the little things too. Trust Him with my uncertainty. My concerns. My inadequacies and self doubt.
I love this from Jesus Calling…
“Do not fear what this day, or any day, may bring your way. Concentrate on trusting Me and on doing what needs to be done. Relax in My sovereignty, remembering that I go before you, as well as with you, into each day. Fear no evil, for I can bring good out of every situation you will ever encounter.”
— excerpted from May 7th devotional by Sarah Young
It’s a simple thing. Trust and He will bring good. Trust and He will go before you. Trust and He is sovereign. Just Trust.
Much easier said than done.
Yes, I know.
I pray today and everyday for a deeper understanding of what it means to trust Him daily in my big and in my little things. What it means to be totally surrendered. He is trustworthy, He is faithful, and He is sovereign and I am so grateful.
