2018 Resolutions

It’s to be admirably purposeful, determined, and unwavering. It’s a quest; a journey.

And 2018, will be no different.

So, here are my 2018 Resolutions…

  1. To start each and every morning in His Word and in prayer.
  2. Cook at home more. Not so much eating out or take-out.
  3. Learn to use an Instant Pot.
  4. Re-read all 7 books of the Harry Potter series.
  5. Re-read all 7 books of the Chronicles of Narnia series.
  6. Read Ken Follett’s Pillars of the Earth. (this book is massive!)
  7. Visit 3 new states in the US.
  8. Plant a container garden on my back patio. Maybe even some fresh herbs!
  9. Finish my guest room. {Home ownership is such a process.}
  10. Save more money. Put a percentage of each check immediately into savings.
  11. Read 42 books this year. Cover to cover. No “did not finish.”
  12. Learn how to hand-letter.
  13. Blog (on average) at least 2 times per week, the whole year through.
  14. Get more regular therapeutic massages for overall spine and lymphatic health.
  15. Be more committed to my adrenal and thyroid health.
  16. Exercise more frequently, and establish a buddy system to stay accountable.
  17. Return to Walt Disney World.
  18. Take more pictures of every day life. Instagram is just the highlight reel.
  19. Become more comfortable in front of groups and improve in overall facilitation & presentation skills.
  20. Be a better housekeeper. Not my strongest suit.
  21. Journal more. At least once per week.
  22. Re-cover the chair/rocker in the living room.
  23. Join a Bible study or Precept study. Make time to study God’s Word with women who love the Lord. Be mentored, and be a mentor.
  24. Call or write to friends and family more frequently. Keep in close touch. They are what makes life worth living!
  25. Wear hats more often. I love hats, and think of them too infrequently.
  26. Be spontaneous and take advantage of mini-weekend adventures. Go & do!
  27. Hike Kennesaw Mountain.
  28. Take a tour of Atlanta’s Fabulous Fox Theater. So much to learn in my own home city!
  29. Host people in my home once per month= 12 times a year! Dinner, game night, to watch a movie or Netflix, to discuss a book, to bake, etc. Just invite them over and open the doors.
  30. Go to Canada with my family.

So, there you have it! Big dreams, big wishes, and a big heart ready to hold it all.

What are some of your 2018 Resolutions?!? Tell me… I’d love to hear them!

Love this, JK! I always like seeing what you’ve got planned, because it’s great inspiration for me. Not surprising, because we think alike, but I had several of these on my list for this year, too!!
